I graduated from a top ten engineering school (US) with BS in Chemical Engineering, 3.5 GPA. I have worked 4-5 years in the oil and gas industry at a fortune 500 company in roles ranging from process engineering, project engineering, economics/business modeling etc. I am looking potentially to get out of my technical role into a lead/management position in the future and feel that an MBA would benefit me. I am just wondering, what should I shoot for on the GMAT if I am trying to get into a top 20/top 15 B-school (IE. Rice (Jones), UT (McCombs), MIT (Sloan), Duke (Fuqua), Northwestern, Columbia)? I have done decent on the SAT/ACT/GRE but never been a superb 2400 SAT/36 ACT/ 180 GRE score kind of person. Also I do not want to over or under prep for the GMAT .
