So I took the GMAT last summer and scored an overall 640 (Q39, V39). I studied for 2 months heavily but was not happy with my Quant score. My practice test scores ranged from 530 (early days of studying) to 710 (right before the test), and I was consistently scoring over 670 for the last 3-4 practise tests.
Study materials included: GMAT OG 13, Kaplan 2013, Kaplan Math workbook, MGMAT Numbers Properties
Practise tests: 6 Kaplans, 6 MGMAT, 2 GMATPrep Software
I struggle with the Quantitative section, specifically combinations/permutations, work rates and number properties and those sorts of topics. During practise tests, my Quant scores were around the 75th percentile but dropped to the 48th percentile when I wrote the actual GMAT.
My goal is to re-write in the next couple of months and score 700+
Any advice in terms of practise strategies/study materials/advanced Quant?
I have heard the Kaplan 800 has a very challenging Quant section, any better alternatives?
Thanks!
