Hi all,

I came across one website that is specifically designed for your mini concept drills. I absolutely fell in love with this website - it is interactive, provides drill sets, and provides learning material for grammar rules as well. So, if you want to just cement any of your Verbal concept, visit this website and try it once-

Homeownership, as opposed to renting a home, can have many benefits.

Homeownership, as opposed to renting a home, can have many benefits, both for individuals who own homes and for society as a whole. While fewer than 50% of the country's citizens own homes, the government does little to encourage home ownership. By doing more to encourage home ownership by making people aware of the advantages homeownership has over renting, the government could improve conditions both for individuals and for society as in general.

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument relies?

A. Crime rates are lower in cities in which the ratio of homeowners to renters is relatively high because people who own homes tend to feel invested in their communities.

B. People involved in government are interested in improving conditions for individuals and society at large.

C. Without government encouragement to buy homes, most people in the country will choose to rent the homes in which they live.

D. The post retirement housing expenses of people who own homes are often lower than those of people who rent.

E. Some of the people who are currently renting homes or considering renting homes could afford to buy homes should they choose to do so.

Can someone explain how B and C are incorrect, or rather, why E is a better choice than B or C? (Hard level TTP question)

Hi Everyone,
Is it possible to get into ISB with low academics and no extracurricular activities during academics time.
I have 86 % in class 10 and 60.8 % in class 12 and a 7.9 CGPA in graduation(Computer science engineering).
After that, I have been in the IT industry since 2019 working in an Administrator role where I have done multiple certifications.
I have also got delivery excellence award and other awards for my project work.
So is it possible to get into ISB and if yes how much i should target in GMAT

Exec MBA no sponsorship @ Booth London - go for it?

I am a director in legal (derivatives) at a French IB in London. I have been admitted at Booth London with a 25k scholarship. My employer is very favourable to the MBA but cannot fund it (at least this year). I can finance it but am wondering if Booth London is the best programme and if this is a good investment for my career. My purpose is to transition out of a specialist role and pursue a career on the FO side either on the sell side or buy side.

I have seen alternatives (Wharton Global, LBS Columbia) but not sure I would get a scholarship. At the moment, I am thinking that the best course of action may be a frank conversation with HR asking for the change it would make internally if I go for the MBA and the kind of roles that they would offer.

Any suggestions?

Hi do you know the cheapest courses out there for GMAT. Cheap but effective.

Also do you any star tutors for verbal and quant in India? do they offer online coaching?

I'm looking for the cheap/reasonable option in India? Please let me know in the comments. Also post any links to their websites if you it.

I want to know how quickly I can get to a level where i can score 700 from my current level. I think a coach can give a good estimate of how much time it would take for someone like me.

35+ age, 10+ year work experience, low-average GPA, targeting 700 GMAT

Hello there, the topic line pretty much sums up my current standing. I'll add more details below for the complete picture.

I want to understand my chances of getting admitted to an above-average MBA school, perhaps in Canada as it offers flexible post-graduation work permit after graduating. My ultimate goal is to run a restaurant business outside of my native country (India). An MBA in Entrepreneurship or International Business will get me closer to my goal and help me learn the ropes of the business (business principles, operations, finances, and so on) and allow me networking opportunities. I'm looking to hopefully secure a job in hospitality to get practical business knowledge and insights and apply those to my own business.

About myself:
I will complete 37 years this August. I've 10+ years of professional experience in India 1st year in digital marketing; next 2 years in a UK-based IT publishing company in online marketing/relationships; the remaining 7 years working in for an e-commerce agency as content writer and progressing through different roles including subeditor, editor, and senior editor, and assistant operations manager (current). I haven't yet socially volunteered, nor do I have any extracurricular activities in my resume.

I completed my bachelor's in engineering with a one-year break. I've not yet calculated my GPA, but it can be assumed to be 2.5. As for GMAT & IELTS, I will be targeting respectively 650+ and 7+ by Oct.

Again, my primary question is, whether I am qualified to get an admission in a reputed MBA school (practical learning, scope for getting placed).

Thanks -

Rohan took pure milk and started to dilute it with water. He first replaced 16 liters from the beaker full of pure milk with 16 liters of water. He performed this process three more times. Finally, the ratio of milk left in the beaker to that of water became 81 : 175. Find out how much pure milk (in liters) was there in the beaker initially?

How to select an admission consultant

HI,

I am planning to apply for MBA in R1-2023. I am already done with GMAT with a 760 score. But I am facing a hard time deciding about which consultant I should work with. Given its a substantial investment which is definitely going to have impact on my chances of admission, I am really looking for some guidance here.
Another issue which I am facing is low bandwidth with most of the consultants given its already just two months left for R1.
What parameters I should focus on while deciding on consultants.

Looking forward to feedback and recommendations.

Regards,
Ayush

Profile Evaluation, GMAT Score Target? - MSc in Finance, Fall 2023

Hi guys,

I'm planning to apply to several MSc in Finance program this Fall. I'm targeting MFin at MIT, MFin at Princeton, MSc in Finance and MSc in Finance and Private Equity at LSE, MIF at HEC, MSc in Financial Analysis at LBS.

This is my profile:

I'm an undergraduate student at a target business school in Europe. Merit scholar, my GPA is 4.0, and I'm in the 99th percentile of all undergraduate students at my University. Good extracurriculars (senior position in my University Finance student association), but I lack work experience (didn't manage to land any internship, in my country it is extremely hard to get one before Master's degree).

I would like to get into one of these business schools with a merit scholarship (based on academics), particularly large if I get into US Masters, I'm not from any underrepresented group. I was wondering what GMAT score should I look for.

My first attempt (online) was far below my expectations, I got 650 (Q49, V30, IR 7, AWA 6). I screwed up the verbal part as it was the last and I lost focus because I thought Quant went bad (instead this didn't happen). In my four previous simulations (also official) I had got at least 730, with Q49-50 and V40-42. I would like to retake the exam (in a different order xD, verbal first) and aim for Q50 and V42.

Is there any other program you would suggest (where I could get a merit scholarship)?

Thanks in advance!

Top 25 Tips to Increase Your GMAT Quant Score

Hello, my friends at GMAT Club!

Most MBA applicants realize the importance of earning a good GMAT score. In fact, most folks applying to business school know by heart the average GMAT scores, corresponding GMAT percentile rankings, and GMAT score range of the MBA programs that they aspire to enter.

What these MBA applicants sometimes forget is that many of the top MBA programs are unapologetically quant-driven. And rightfully so, because whether youre pursuing a career in consulting, marketing, or finance, a world of big data, statistics, and analytics requires solid quant skills.

Hi Folks,
I wanted to schedule my GMAT exam this month and the only available centre for my desirable dates is the one in Marine Lines. If anyone has taken the test in the exact centre, I would like to know about your experience.
I would like to know more about any technical difficulties you encountered or if there are too many distractions in the centre. Is it as good as the Pearson one in Andheri with respect to hygiene and infrastructural maintenance?
