I realize that there are a number of these threads on this forum, but it never hurts to ask again.
I got accepted to both Rotman and Schulich (with funding) and now wondering what to do. For those who have looked at both schools, there are some common perceptions out there. Rotman is said to have an advantage in terms of overall quality of students (tougher admissions process) and a better campus that's located in the heart of Toronto. It's very strong in finance, ranks slightly better in most (not all) rankings, and has a better brand name behind University of Toronto. Schulich is cheaper, apparently much better in terms of international placement, better in marketing and brand management, and overall has a more flexible program.
There are of course lots of other details that I'll skip here.
My problem in choosing one of them is the level of uncertainty that I have over what I want to go into after I graduate. I'm choosing marketing (which is almost a switch for me) and brand management, and ideally one day not too far off I want to relocate to somewhere else (preferably London or Germany), so just on these terms, Schulich sounds like the better choice. However, being from Toronto myself, I dread going to Schulich's campus every day. It's an hour commute each way. What's more, I've really heard a lot about the quality of Schulich students. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but if it is, then it's not too flattering. I suppose that's one of the problems of not interviewing most of your applicants.
To top it off, while I say I want to go to marketing or maybe even brand management, I really haven't had any experience with other business aspects other than entrepreneurship. So maybe I'll fall in love with finance or VCs; who knows! So I'm trying to keep an open mind.
Now, with that said, can you give me your opinion on what you think would be my better choice?
