Needed to do a debrief as well as analyze where things went wrong. I started to prep in February and I signed up for a VeritasPrep class that began in March. I scheduled my exam approximately 6 weeks after the end of the VeritasPrep class. Along with the material, I also have the Manhattan GMAT guides 4th edition as well as the 13th edition of the official guide.
In this time frame, I only took 3 practice exams and I felt that I should have taken more since I seemed to struggle with pacing on the actual exam in Verbal. I had approximately 10 questions left with only 15 minutes remaining... I work a full time job but the past 4 months have been pretty brutal since I didn't do anything except eat, sleep, and dream gmat. Could I have prepped for way too long?
I would come home from work, eat dinner and spend 1.5-2 hours a night studying. On the weekends, I would probably spend anywhere from 4-6 hours. My social life pretty much disappeared. Now to some analysis as well as advice.
On the practice exams (GMAT Prep), my raw scores were always Q47-49, V27-28. I'm aiming for a 700. On the actual exam, my raw scores were Q39/V29. The drop in quant has me mystified. I will be retaking the exam again in late July after I take a couple weeks off to go on vacation.
Can someone provide me some advice? I'm not sure what I should be changing in my studying. I seemed to have gone through the entire VeritasPrep class again as well as the entire set of MGMAT guides at least twice while reviewing some of the specific topics, such as SC more than several times. I can sit through another free Veritas Prep class, but I'm not sure if that is very helpful
Thanks for your thoughtS!
