My background:
GMAT: 750 (Q51 V40, AWA 5, IR 8)
GPA: 9.17 on 10 (3.67 on 4)
Working in electronics field.
Will have 3 years of experience at matriculation.
I haven't managed people but have mentored a new college grad and guided a couple of contractors in my company.
Post MBA: Consulting -> VC
Priorities in selecting schools:
1. Job opportunities
2. Tuition and costs
3. Scholarship opportunities
4. Strong placements in consulting
I know that Mays has one of the best ROI's among the top schools.
Mays also has the Aggie network.
But the class size for Full time MBA is small. This means that the number of MBA alumni is small.
Looking at the placement reports, only 46 out of 57 got jobs.
While it says that only 49 out of 57 were seeking jobs, the numbers still creep me.
Now, keeping in mind that I'm an international candidate, do you guys think I should apply to Mays? If not, could you please suggest some other schools that are good in consulting/finance?
