City of Work Experience

I know that, besides the GMAT score, an applicant's work experience is one of their top selling points for acceptance into a top MBA program. That said, if you are working at a top company for these programs, does the city of your work experience matter? In other words, would it be a point against me if I was working in the middle of the country somewhere versus a large city such as New York?
