Hello!
I was wondering why the following information is requested as part of the application and if it is in an applicant's best interest to divulge this information when optional:
-Race/Ethnicity
-Familial status (i.e. married, children)
-Other schools being applied to
I'm not too worried about the first two. However, I am applying to six schools that are all within the top 20 by most rankings' standards. Is an admissions officer looking for congruity among the schools being applied to? Would they be concerned if they saw more than 4 or 5 in this place?
I'm also curious how admissions officers view religious service (i.e. a Mormon mission) and how to best word something like that in the application. Thanks in advance for any response!
