I am a 27 years old female from India (currently in the U.S. on H4). I have a 4.5 years of experience in a Public Sector Bank. I took GMAT on Dec 21st and scored a 620(Q47, V28). I am quite disappointed with this score because I was targeting top 30-40 U.S. b schools prior to this attempt. I scored 660(Q49, V30) on GMAT prep two days before my exam. I was confident of getting atleast a 680 but I think anxiety killed me on the test day.
I believed I was performing well in Quants, I touched Q50 a couple of times during mocks but in Verbal, CR killed me. I dint have any defined structure to approach the argument and subsequently developed a fear of facing a CR problem.
I don't have luxury of time, so I have to get the admission in Fall intake only because I have to take some crucial decisions regarding my job during this time. Given the low GMAT score, do you think I stand a realistic chance of getting into a top 30 B-school. Will a strong profile(Non IT, core Finance) help me get into a 660-690 range b schools despite my low GMAT score.
Would appreciate guidance on this matter.
