Hi everyone,
So I'm currently deliberating how to approach my current direct boss for a recommendation, and how to break the news that I'll be applying to b-school (and leaving the firm as a result).
My situation is that I wrote my GMAT in 2010, right before I even got my current job. If my boss asks me when I wrote my GMAT, should I lie and tell him I only wrote it recently? Or do you think that'll open up a can of worms in case he asks for some sort of confirmation? (or am I just over thinking this?) I just don't want it to look like I've been planning to do my MBA for 3+ years now, essentially during the entire time that I've been working at this company in my current role, I've been planning my exit strategy with no long-term plans to stay at the company. It would look quite bad on my end I presume. Is there any other way to spin this, or again am I just looking way too deeply into it?
