I recently decided that I'd like to pursue an MBA through a part-time program. A major factor in the part-time decision is the fact that my employer would pay 75% of tuition; full-time programs are not too appealing to me. Living int the San Francisco Bay Area, my goal is admission to the Haas program, with Leavey as my 'backup.'
That said, I went in and took the GMAT yesterday. I scored a 740, but bombed the Quant section (Q44/68%, V46/99%). I didn't take any prep courses, so I'm considering taking a math-only course and retaking the GMAT in a couple of months.
My question is, would a PT program care as much bout my low Quant score? Would the 740 overall be enough to overcome that weakness? I've seen some people claim that PT programs don't care as much about gmat scores - is that a myth or fact?
Any insight/advice is appreciated!
