Hello,
Indian from moderate financial background.
Age : 25
WE : 45 Months at Cognizant Technology Solutions (Fortune 500 Firm)
GMAT : 690 - Q47 V38
Undergrad : B.Tech IT (71%) - SRM University (world Ranking 2318 in 2011 Apparently) Graduated 2009
Worked as freelance web designer in 2009
tried startup of small web design firm in 2009 which ended unsuccesfully
created an application for listed indian garments firm for their day-to-day use
post MBA aspirations : consulting - Preferably away from technology firms
What am I looking for : High ranked B-school with international reputation.Since an MBA is an expensive affair, i really do not see the point of studying in universities that do not have a reputation for excellence. Nigh possibility for networking. City campus. I dont think i am cut out for finance. A career oriented program with an internship ( so i think only 2 years courses)
My origin and work experience puts me in a disadvantage, so i am aware that i need to be realistic. Could you please give your take on my profile ? Please do let me know if you'd like me to furnish further info.
Also I kept scoring 720 in my GMATPrep practice tests, but came up short on test day. Do you think its worth a re-take ?
Thanks,
Abilash
