Hi
Just wanted to write about my experience of TOEFL at Singapore. I took TOEFL at Kolkata, India. The experience was so bad that it cannot be explained. It was an old house with no proper seating arrangement. In one row 15 test takers were made to seat with no gap. The computer screen were so bad that, if the leg touched the CPU, the picture from the screen got disappeared. The test centers had no attended to clean toilets, moreover no water to flush. I thought it was synonymous to Bihar Govt's arrangements.
I came to know about the result when i was at Singapore around 10 PM (Singapore time) it was 94. I was destroyed as the colleges required minimum of 100. I checked the availability of dates in India, to my good luck the dates were not available for next 1 -1.5 months. Due to some reasons i needed to take the exam. I than checked up the dates at Singapore. I got the slot of 14th july. It was total different experience at the same price.
The test center was like a five star hote
l......Only two students were seated in one row, separated by voice dampers. The computer screens were big monitors of Apple. I Seriously thought if i cannot score i can never score anywhere. The results were out and i score 102......Finally i managed to cross the barrier.
It was total contrast to my previous experience. I mean why in India, they treat people like cattles, even after the same amount. While I was taking the GMAT the computer hanged!!! I reported the incident to GMAT but no action...........
The testing centers are to an extent responsible for the dismal performance of students.
Consider kudos If my post helps!!!
