Hi,
I was looking to apply to both UCLA and USC part-time programs and needed some feedback regarding my profile. I'm 29 and have been out of school for 5 years.
Education:
-BA in Economics from University of California-Riverside (GPA: 2.4)
My GPA is extremely low for my undergraduate degree, but my sister was diagnosed with a mental illness during that time and made it extremely difficult for me to stay focused.
Work Experience:
-Moved to NYC shortly after college and worked in Treasury for a Hedge Fund until the fund dissolved.
-Top-Tier Bulge bracket Investment Bank supporting a trading desk
-Currently at a Top 3 Investment Management Firm worldwide working in Portfolio Analysis
GMAT - 660 (Q:45 V:36)
I've read that creating an additional transcript would help alleviate the low GPA, but I plan on getting my CFA designation and, if all goes well, will complete the Lvl 1 exam by the time I apply.
Any insights on how I can help my profile would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your help!
