I just took the free exam offered by Platinum GMAT and was pretty shocked at the result:
Section Raw ScorePercentile
Quantitative41 - 4261% - 65%
Verbal 33 - 38 68% - 85%
Total Score 630 - 64075% - 77%
In looking at the # of questions wrong I got for each section and I had 10 wrong in quant, and 13 wrong in verbal. The quant score is a little bit of a shock as is the verbal, because usually verbal is my strength (I finished the verbal section 10 minutes early.... and I remember thinking that I had aced it! In every other GMAT test I've taken, Kaplan, Manhattan, Princeton, GMATPrep, Veritas -- my verbal has always outscored my quant by at least 10%. As a result I have spent the last FOUR months studying quant!) Is this weird or is it just me?????![Neutral :|]()
I'm going to look at my mistakes next to see if I can spot any trends, but I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience? I realize GMATPrep materials are by far the best resource out there, but I've exhausted all the other free tests so I thought I'd give Platinum a shot. I will say -- I thought the test was excellent, especially the verbal. The CR and SC were especially challenging (harder that GMATPrep).
I am taking the real GMAT next week (in exactly 6 days) and if this is any reflection of my real performance, I might just delay it... I'm going to take my very last GMATPrep CAT tomorrow with everything under real conditions including AWA and IR sections, but a 630-640 is seriously putting a huge damper on my motivation right now...
Anyone have a similar experience with Platinum GMAT? or any other thoughts regarding it?
Happy to share more thoughts or questions from the test if anyone is interested.
