I am planning to do MS financial engg(Quantitative Finance) in singapore. I am going to apply for 3 universities in singapore and 2 univ in USA
1)NUS - Singapore
2)NTU - Singapore
3)SMU - Singapore
4)NYU - USA
5)CMU - USA

I am having 5.6 yrs experience in IT industry as a senior developer like many other indian IT male who would be dreaming of MBA or MS finance in top B-Schools

My Profile:

Reason for MS Financial Engg - I am passionate about finance , Mathematics and Computer programming. Not joining the course like an MBA by evaluating ROI.
Whether I would be landing in a high profile job or not i am keen about the program.

GMAT: Taking In a month - Expecting 690 or 700
Total Experience - 5.6 yrs as a developer (No manager roles handled)
Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering(Electrical)
School/College Acads : Above 90% in schools and Engg 8.1 GPA out of 10
Extra interests : Not that much
Extra curricular activities : Almost nothing worthy to mention
Banking/Corporate finance/Investment banking knowledge - Absolutely Zero

I am planning to do FRM part1 certification and then going to do preparatory self learning of all the necessary topics related to Quantitative Finance.

What are the chances of getting selected in the mentioned top 3 univ of singapore and is the applicants selection ratio would be tougher than their institute own MBA programs???

Any Evaluation comments, suggestions, advice would be helpful ..thanks in advance
