Hi,
I am a electrical engineer by profession. Over time, i am interested in knowing about "Sports management" or more specifically speaking "Football(/Soccer) management". In my native country, i wish to start a football academy + club (yes, from scratch) finding best of the talents (irrespective of their economical/ethnic) backgrounds and wish to prove that even from a country like ours we can deliver quality players and clubs at least in Asian level. I have always been a football enthusiast (played during school days, but only lowest levels) and when i went to other countries during my professional life. I noticed that there is not a big gap in talent of the players at least in general. It seems that the corrupt/inefficient and unwilling system is screwing our country's football destiny. I want to change this perception and wish to prove that with systematic/well intentioned hard work anybody can go to certain high level. SO, my big questions to you are -
1) How an electrical engineer who designs mobile phones can enter this area and realize this novel goal?
2) do you think that an MBA in football management would be the right way to get into the game? what else i need to consider?
3) what are the entrance examinations i need to take to enter one of the world class MBA in football management program? Which are the B-schools to look for in this field?
4) i would like to know your personal comments too, that might help me advance in right directions to achieve this goal of mine.
Regards
abhi
