How to long to wait for a repeat

Hi,
I did my gmat test online today. It stated two hours late due to technical difficulities. I ended up getting totally stressed out and completely messed up the exam, scoring worse than I did on my first ever mock.
I know to do the exam online again I need to wait 16 days, but can I do it in an exam centre before then?
If I go to book another exam I can't book an online one until the 23rd but I can book one in a test centre for next week. Does this mean it is okay to do?
I want to get the exam done asap for application deadlines and just don't have the time to keep studying, especially with the holidays coming up. I am sure that todays result was at least majorly due to the circumstances.
From what I have read online it is okay to go ahead and do it in the test centre but none of those posts are recent and I defintely don't want a score getting cancelled!
