Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of preparing my MBA application and have a couple of concerns I hope to get some advice on. Specifically, I have experienced name discrepancies in my academic records and have a history of academic backlogs (KTs) that I need to address in my application. I am seeking guidance on how best to handle these issues to present a strong and transparent application.

Questions:

1 Name Discrepancies:

How should I address discrepancies between the name on my academic records and the name used in my application?

What supporting documents or explanations are typically required to clarify name discrepancies for MBA admissions?

Is it advisable to include a brief explanation of the name discrepancy in my personal statement, or should I provide a separate document?

2 Handling Academic Backlogs (KTs):

How should I approach explaining academic backlogs (KTs) in my application? What details should I include?

What is the best way to highlight my academic improvement and resilience in the context of having multiple backlogs?

Should I provide all marksheets showing fail attempts or focus on the final successful attempts in my application?

How can I effectively discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on my academic performance in my personal statement or optional essay?

Additional Context:

My course began in August 2018 and ended in March 2021, with several attempts required to pass certain subjects.

My name has discrepancies across different documents due to various reasons.

Any advice or personal experiences related to these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,
[Vaishali D.]
