Stuck in verbal, need to improve, but don't know how

Hello !

Firstly, thank you to all the experts and the larger community for keeping this Forum open to all and full of learning :)

I am in a predicament of sorts. I have been prepping for the GMAT since March, and last week, I took the official exam, which didn't go as planned. In terms of prep, I covered:

Verbal
- Studied the eGMAT content for SC, CR and RC. The content on SC was helpful.
- Studied the PowerScore CR to improve overall critical thinking.
- Finished the OG, verbal guide and practice questions set 1 on MBA website (official)
- Reviewed the SC and CR OG questions on GMAT Club forum

I gave myself ample time to study, given my work commitments. I got a 650 in my first mock (Q49, V30) around March 1. After 6 months of study, I undertook a couple of mocks in September in proper testing conditions, and below are the scores I got:

- Sep 06: GMAT Mock Exam 2 (670 - Q48, V34)
- Sep 21: GMAT Mock Exam 1 (Reset, 740 - Q49, V42)
- Sep 25: GMAT Mock Exam 3 (720 - Q50, V26)
- Sep 28: GMAT Mock Exam 4 (750 - Q50, V42)

After seeing the improvements in my mock scores, I decided to register for the official centre-based exam. I took the GMAT on October 4, and got a highly unexpected score of 650 (Q49, V30), a repeat of the very first mock. After analyzing the ESR, I observed my performance in SC was slightly below average but CR was a major wreck.

I saw the official exam as an aberration, and therefore, today I took the GMAT Mock Exam 5, got a score 700 (Q49, V36). I did pretty good in RC, but quite average across both SC and CR (got 3 questions wrong for each category).

At this juncture, I am keen to take another attempt soon in 2 weeks. However, I am not sure how to proceed forward with my prep. I am afraid that no matter how much more time I put in SC and CR, progress will not be much. I need some guidance on how to structure my prep. Thank you !
