Hey MBA hive mind! I've got a decision to make this week - Michigan Ross vs. Georgetown McDonough. I'm in the DC area now, and am hoping to come back here after my MBA.
Ross offers more prestige, and Georgetown offers more DC recruiting opportunities. At Ross, I would probably have to make my own way through the recruiting process - only 2% of people come to DC each year. But... it's Ross.
Georgetown still has a solid program, and would be much easier to land a DC position. I'll likely recruit for general management / corporate strategy / consulting, possibly in the healthcare or tech space.
Currently in an HR role, so I know how important both prestige and local connections can be.
