Career Switcher/Low GPA/Giving it my all

Stats
GPA: 2.9 – Econ (UCLA/UC Berkeley)
GMAT: 710 48Q (82%), 39V (87%)
Worked 25-30 hours per week while in school as a student fundraiser. Raised $250K+
Alternative Transcript: Statistics – A Accounting - A (contemplating 1 more class – calculus; please shed light on this)

Work Experience
Manufacturing/Operations – 4 years at matriculation
Good amount of quantitative work on the job. Leadership position within small company. Supply Chain management now doing internal operations. I’m often the go to person from managements perspective. Six Sigma Green Belt.

Extra Curricular Activities
Big Brother Big Sisters- mentor to underprivileged youth
Martial Arts – Current Blue Belt.
Fundraiser: Alumni Fundraiser for my undergrad.

Personal
Married, came from low-income family, underrepresented minority.

Goals
ST: Investment Management – equity research. Work my way up to Portfolio Manager
LT: Portfolio Manager for higher education endowments. Want to increase university funds so kids from all backgrounds can afford college.
