Hi everyone,
Not sure if I can start such a thread here, but just wanted to see how accurate score predictions of that free kaplan cat are.
Problem is, as I'm getting close to the official test (in about a week), anxiety starts to kick in heavily and throws me off totally, which reflected on my yesterday's gmat prep cat.
About 3 weeks ago I took my first proper gmat prep test and scored a 680 (Q47, V36). So I thought that I'd do quite better after studying for the past weeks. I took the second gmat prep cat yesterday and scored a 660 (Q50, V30). Although I have been indeed studying quant more, I still have been practicing verbal enough to see an improvement, yet it dipped by that much. Granted, because of anxiety and sort of panic even during the cat, I could barely focus and properly think, especially on the verbal part, which I believe led to such a drop.
Today I took a kaplan cat and scored a 660 again, but with Q48 and V36 (I was trying to stay calmer through the exam, although anxiety still was messing with my performance a lot). Now, I would just like to have any input on how accurate the kaplan cat score is (meaning if it generally underscores, can I expect a better result in the official test if I handle anxiety somehow, or it gives a rather optimistic prediction and I should expect even a lower score?).
Thanks a lot.
